history; On the surface, Arai seemed like a teenage kid with a normal life. It was about as ordinary as it got except for one thing: Arai manifested his power early, finding uses for it that slowly pushed him into delinquency. A skinny brat with a bad attitude, Arai soon discovered his newly found powers allowed him freedom his strict household often denied. As soon as he was in junior high, he learned everything from climbing out the window in the dead of the night to smoke with his friend to petty theft and truancy.

Not one for the ritual of school or of anything, Arai isn't stupid just lazy and restless, reckless and has an utter hatred of authority. He despises conformity as much as he hates having to sit still long enough to give it a chance. Arai has broken more rules then other kid in the school but not enough to have him kicked out of it. His teachers consider him out of control.

But it was with reason...

When he was 11, Arai got lost in a crowd during a festival and went into a panic, crying for his parents to get him. The trauma of the events led him to wander in that area until well into the night, finally managing to find his bearings and his way home. But when he slipped in through the back door, there was a kid in his bed. A kid that looked exactly like him. Horrified, Arai ripped the blanket off the intruder and came face to face with himself, demanding to know who it was and why. The other Arai responded in a similar manner and angry, Arai lashed out at the other body, hitting it hard on the side of it's head with a bedside lamp before waking up to his mother shaking him and telling him he was having a bad dream. A bad dream that left him with a lump on the side of his head and dread. Arai was sure someone was out to kill and replace him.

Arai soon discovered that he had the ability to multiply himself and could look out of each one of his physical manifestations more or less equally. These doppelgangers are few in number but contain equal parts of his own sentience. Arai feel easily into troublemaking, using his powers to confuse police and other people who chase him. He was his own decoy.

Caught and thrown in juvenile not once but twice and managing to con his way out of both time, Arai thinks that world can fuck off if it thinks it can fuck with him. This attitude carried him through junior high until finally his parents decide they need to send him to a place that can lock him down better. Having heard wind of a boy who is many times more then he seems, a letter makes it's way to Arai's parents with an irresistible offer: send the boy to a experimental boarding school for wayward youth, known to its insiders as Brotherhood.


powers; Arai has the ability to manifest multiples of himself, two or three at the time. He can probably make more but his intelligence is distributed among them and the more he makes, basically, the dumber he becomes. Arai as a single unit has a very high IQ so it's unknown at the moment just how many clones he can make. He also has a tendency to break out when impacting with something. Each multiple has a bit of a time limit too, the many there are, the shorter.

However, these multiples aren't clones, they're parts of Arai and not always divided equally. He can talk as all of them and often talks to "himself" but one multiple could be louder or more violent then the other, taking on certain parts of Arai's psyche that isn't often revealed.
